This is our first Newsletter of the year! January has been a fantastic month for us, and we are very excited about our upcoming collaboration with our partner El Refugio de Ryhope. We are preparing the first of our collaborations and hope it will be to your liking.
We are aware that Substack is undergoing a process of "enshittification" and we are exploring alternatives to continue distributing our content through other channels. Our blog is becoming our main focus for interaction, but for now, we will use Substack until we find a way to become independent from any other corporate entity.
🧉1. Bring on the Discourse
2025 will be a year of migrations for our community. We have already seen how harmful social networks can be on other occasions, and I do not intend to delve further into them.
I firmly believe, as Yochai Gal shares in his latest blog post, that we must take our community's discussion to safer and more independent places. I know I'm not the only one who doesn't see Discord or Bluesky in a positive light at the moment.
Yochai Gal's call to bring the conversation back to forums has resonated with the Spanish-speaking community, and we have now taken a subforum in The Cauldron. I invite everyone who wants a safe and corporate-free space to start the discussion in English and Spanish in The Cauldron. We're waiting for you!
🅱️2. 2025 Is the Year of the Beta
We start the year with this Prismatic Wasteland challenge. I invite you to join. If you have an idea in the drawer that you haven't published yet because it seems endless, then this is the year to bring it to light and see what happens. Join the Year of Betas!
Entries to the Beta Challenge (in no particular order):
